And they devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer

~ Acts 2.42

During the month of April we will be beginning the journey into Christ's death and passion, starting with Palm Sunday, and on through Holy Week. And then, it is the Great Triduum, the holiest days of the Christian year. Washing the feet of his disciples, Jesus shows that although he is Lord he becomes the servant of all. In the garden of Gethsemane he does not strike back, but prays instead "thy will be done." On the cross he is crucified, bearing the weight of the world's sin upon his shoulders, and finally we come to Easter Day, and the promise of resurrection.

All are invited to join with the Parishes of New Carlisle and Chaleur Bay as we "remember his death, proclaim his resurrrection, and await his coming in glory,' in our celebrations of this most holy time.
